2025-04-05 Sébastien Dinot nominated as Orekit PMC member
The Orekit team is happy to welcome a new PMC member: Sébastien Dinot (@sdinot).
Sébastien has been immersed in the free and open source software ecosystem
since 1998. In 2013, he set up the FOSS governance of CS GROUP and its OSPO
(Open Source Program Office), which he has been running ever since.
Although Sébastien has no expertise in either space dynamics or Java
development, he has been involved in the Orekit project since 2008, at various
levels:
- proposal and deployment of new tools (GitLab, SonarQube, Discourse) and
development best practices (CI/CD, quality assurance);
- administration of the collaborative development platform;
- creation and maintenance of the website;
- ensuring the smooth running of the community, proposing changes in the
governance of the project.
In addition, Pascal Parraud, who will be retiring very soon, has announced
that he is leaving the Orekit PMC. We would like to warmly thank Pascal for
his continuous involvement in the project since 2008 and his valuable
contributions. We wish him a long and happy retirement, full of enjoyable
moments. Pascal, we will miss you.
